Wind On Guides

Thinking about buying a rod for a planer/sniper setup. It is being advertisied as having aftco windon guides. Im not so sure if they are. Is there a way to identify them to tell them from regular guides? I can try to post up pics later if they are needed. Thankyou.

if you goto AFTCO website, and look at their catalog (pages 5-9)you will see the difference. There are different "levels" of Roller Guides. I would venture to guess the ones you are looking at are the BBWO (ball bearing wind ons)

Good luck.

also make sure there is a AFTCO tip..some use a "cheaper" model tip not aftco..

Be careful I believe there are some spiderwires, battle lines and other brands that will cut into a roller guide. Contact FINRAZOR rods they do it every day.
good luck
