Replacing Clickers on Old Penn's

ON old Penn's, the clicker is pressed/welded onto the clicker knob stud.

On new/replacement parts, the clicker is held onto the stud by a c-clip

How do I remove the old style rusty? Heat? grind? Drill?

Thanks

I have drilled a couple out when I could not get a new side plate, but most of the times, it needs a new sideplate...

Thanks Lee.....I was able to drill this guy out and order the new parts.

Now I'm stuck on a 2/0. The clicker is pressed onto the stud, but they don't make any replacement parts. I guess it will have to be a new side plate

Lee...I checked it out. It is actually water from where I cleaned it up before taking the pic. This thing was submerged in sand/schmuck and was filthy.

Cleans up nicely with some soap and water.
