Which Pliers?

I am looking to invest in a good pair of all around pliers, something that will be able to cut all steel leaders and lines.

Any preferences to straight or side cutters? 6.5" 8"?

The replaceable cutters that most offer seem hard if you wanted to replace them.

Any experiences?

Thanks,
VC

Good question

I own the following

Donmar
Vanstall
Accurate
Manley

Over the years I have found that the Manely for 40 or so dollars are the best value for cutting heavy wire and small to medium hooks

for cutting braid I would go with the accurates

I've got the 7" Van Staal titaniums and they are great - I can cut braid and wire equally well. You have to do a whole lot of cutting before you have to replace the blade - even then, they get them out to you in a couple of days.

That said, the Manley's that I got for my 15th birthday are alive and well - can't go wrong there either.

Great list. I like Donnmar & Accurate. Good deals on Donnmar's if you search the net.
