PENN INTERNATIONAL LD 80lb BOAT ROD

Hi guys just a quick one here from other side of the pond, I have a shimano 30lws that is doing nothing thought about the above rod as I can get one new at a close out cheap, to make into a shark setup do not know the rod .
So will this balance out the reel and will it cope with braid thanks in advance.
