Penn 50VSW's

Anyone know if the Penn 50VSW's are being discountinued and replaced by the VSX? Seems like the prices have been dropping.

50 VSX

I think the 50VSX is replacing the old 50S where as the 50VSW replaced the old 50SW.

I noticed this too and inquired with a friend who usually knows these things. But he didn't seem to have an answer either.

A reliable source suggestes supply and demand....

"Partly market shift due to fuel pricing? I'm sure the reels aren't selling quite as well as they used to, with less folks going out and more selling their boats and pooling trips to save money.

No word on whether that reel is on the axe list at this time."

JUST REMEMBERED, PENN WAS BOUGHT OUT BY SHAKESPEARE. MAYBE THATS WHY THE PRICES ARE COMING DOWN. HOPE THE QUALITY DOESN'T!
