havent seen the pelagic .
the saltist is a good reel. some guys upgrade the drags you should be happy with it

upgrade drag
Where and how do you go about upgrading drags for a saltist 50?Any help would be appreciated? Not sure where to get the new components.

Have a saltist 50. Used it for deep bottom fishing off Hatteras. Caught many vermilion snappers. Like it very much. Bought it to use deep drop jigging off Palm Beach, but have not done it yet.

For the saltist 50 upgrade. Very easy to do. I got 25 lbs. of drag out of mine with the new carbon fiber washers. |
