man, this thing must be ancient!!!!!! ok, i'm mailing out a new bridge plate tomorrow. i checked the pennparts.com website and it says that the bridge plate for a penn 60 is a #3-66. you're right. this is really wierd! alan

the old handle and star drag do fit the stainless sleeve. The handle is a little snug, but will go on.
Thanks again. Could it be possible that the old-original bridge post diameter is smaller than new replacement bridges/posts? Or, the stainless sleeve I have is for a different reel but was sent in error? No idea, but when I slide the stainless sleeve over the old post, there is side to sideplay that does not allow the small brass pin to lock on the groove cut into the bridge post. When I slide the old brass sleeve on, there is little to no side to side play. Oh well, I'll check the mail in a few days and put everything back together to see how it all fits.

i miked out the new bridge post and 5.0 something mm and dropped in the mail last night. you should have it by monday. i'll be on vacation all of next week. let me know if it works. thanks! alan

ALANTANI to the rescue.......after scratching our heads for a while, it turns out my old reel had VERY old parts on it. the new bridge/post I received works perfectly!!!
