wow...this is an old one

Apparently I never responded to my own thread but my uncle is an auto mechanic and he was able to get me three 5 gallon buckets full of tire weights. I agree, they don't pour as well, but hell, they're free.

They arent that bad to pour.My fatherinlaw and I use wheel weights too,we get free from the township garage. You got to wipe em down with a rag to get the grease off if they are real filthy and break them up into pieces other than that we never had any problems.

I use a cast muffin pan to pour my ingots and they are only about 2.5lbs each but i can melt smaller amounts, and i just use the side burner on my grill to melt them it does eat up propane though
