backbone?

how to checked whether our rod have a correct backbone setting?
im sure most of our rod not have the correct backbone setting.
but how to check?anybody?
and how can we know what size of reel suitable for the rod?
we must know the basic concept so when we want to buy new setup
we know what size of reel suitable which what size of rod.
hope somebody who have knowledge about this can share with us

What are you considering the "backbone setup"?

what i mean is,some not most of our rod actually not properly at their
correct backbone placing.you get what i mean..if we take a look
at our rod it can bend but we dont sure if it bend on the right backbone
setting.for us who dont know about backbone placing they didnt realise
but as far as i concern backbone placing is crucial.so if somebody have knowledge on how to check our rod backbone please come forward
and share.so that our setup can perform with top notch.

I think your asking about finding the spine on a blank? If that's what you're talking about, it's simple- just put the butt of the rod in one hand, the tip on the floor (put the rod at a 45 degree angle to the floor), put a load on the rod by pressing towards the floor with your free hand about half way down the blank, and roll...you will feel it roll smoothly, then it will "catch" or "jump" on the same spot- that is your spine. Mark that spine, and set your guides accordingly (depending on whether it is a spinning rod or conventional rod).

Or acid wrap the rods and say screw the spine altogether! Just build on the straightest axis of the blank.
