I remember the first Accurate Reels I ever saw - I walked into a tackle shop at Point Loma - just after I passed by the Royal Polaris offloading bins of 200+ lb tuna.

Damn impressive - but expensive even 15 years ago.

In Here Yesterday

That Crazy Jason came thru Yesterday dropping off some harware for one sweet order we are doing here at Melton's for one of own at SF.COM

7 Accurate 50's and 1 Accurate 80 paired up with 8 Custom Cape Fear Rods we just finished building for him. He runs a sweet Cabo out of NY and this will give him 18 Accurate Set-Ups for his ride, should be looking good for the Canyon Season.... oh yeah!

They say 10k of spectators rolled thru while we had a good response in our booth i would say that the show caters to the inshore markets

you want wooden plugs ? this was the place to be

lot's of cool Fish Art ,Charter Boats and most all the rod and reel manufacturers were present.

Jason was Movin and Shakin West Coast Style !!!!!!

This was our booth

a couple of months ago, i dumped all of my old tuna gear. i ordered up a pair of two speed 870 narrow's, a pair of standard width two speed 870's, a two speed 665, a 6, a 12 and a 30. they're all being laser engraved with my name at the factory, then getting strung with the new blackwater hollowcore spectra. i'm also having a local machine shop make me a custom grip. it will be larger, with finger gooves and a 9 degree offset.

for a topshot, dean at http://www.blackwaterinternationalinc.com/ wants me to use his fluoro, but i'm leaning more towards the new berkeley high test. it tests out at 80% over its line rating (ie., 50# high test breaks at 90#'s). i would probably use drag settings of 50% of line weight at strike, not the typical 25-33%. and who know's what the full setting will be!!!!! bottom line, my 30# rig will be equivalent to most guys' 50# rig. that's what an accurate reel can do for you.
