Alan,

That Blackwater hollowcore is the bomb. I was at Yo's today and jimmy showed me the 12 braid and 16 braid 65# hollow. It was so easy to open the core and thread 100# (Yes 100#) izorline right throw it. The spectra held together. The weave is tight and smooth and THIN, unlike izorline spectra or even JB spectra. I'm sold on it.

Only problem is it is very pricey. 1200 yard spool of 65# 16 braid goes for $380.00. That comes out to ~$30.00 per 100 yards. ouch! Might have to use a combination of izor/JB spectra as backing then whipped to the blackwater spectra to mono.

I'm definitely using them on my 665-2spd and ATD 6.

for a topshot, dean at http://www.blackwaterinternationalinc.com/ wants me to use his fluoro, but i'm leaning more towards the new berkeley high test. it tests out at 80% over its line rating (ie., 50# high test breaks at 90#'s). i would probably use drag settings of 50% of line weight at strike, not the typical 25-33%. and who know's what the full setting will be!!!!! bottom line, my 30# rig will be equivalent to most guys' 50# rig. that's what an accurate reel can do for you.

you want wooden plugs ? this was the place to be

lot's of cool Fish Art ,Charter Boats and most all the rod and reel manufacturers were present.

Jason was Movin and Shakin West Coast Style !!!!!!

This was our booth

Do I see some new splash/bird teasers on the bars??

Yes, it is a terminal tackle, beer drinking, beef jerky eating kind of crowd, very similar to our Fred Hall Shows out here.
Few new customers and brand exposure still makes it worth going to I would think.

yep it's me, accurate boy!

What's up boyz,
My name is Jason Fulton and I am the factory rep for Accurate.. My territory is California and helping at the factory level. I've been with the company for over five years, and know these reels like the back of my hand.. I am a fishing fool, practically working for tackle, but I love it!! First of all, I want to leave my cell # for anyone who has questions, comments, or problems, with our reels.. 714-713-4507.. I was reading someone saying that our reels were high maintenence.. I've been fishing mine for over four years with no problems (10 to 12 charters a year to 7 days) including catching 100 lb. tuna on the 270 (50 spec. 50 top shot 400 yds).. I'm not saying that our reels are maintenence free, but as far as having to put them below when running, come on!! We wouldn't have the reputation we have, if that was the case.. Sounds to me like someone was misinformed.. I'll be the first one to admit our reels aren't perfect, nor for every style of fishing, but for the heavy duty stuff (spectra), there is no better reel on the market.. We are into our fifth generation reels, improving something every couple of years.. That is why I recomend sending in accurates every couple of years for "free" upgrades, like the new clicker, driveshaft, handle nut, etc.. We charge $12 for a tune n lube n maybe $4 for a bearing (all stainless rusts).. So if anyone thinks "we charge too much money" call me and we'll work something out.. We are a small company and when every one sends in there reels in jan, feb, march, or april, then yes, we get backed up a little with repairs.. Try getting your boat in for a tune and lube right now!!
We started greasing the inside of our reel over five years ago and have no maintenence issues due to salt, since.. Again, if you haven't had your reel into our factory for over two years, I recommend it.. When you do it yourself, or at a local tackle shop, they jus open it up and clean it out without any upgrades.. Get 'em into the factory..(not at the beginning of the season..) remember that it is a machine or tool, and things do go wrong,(as with any reel..) It will always be a learning process for us.. We will never be done improving our reel..
B2-270 soon!!!
SR-20 soon!!
Black n Blue "bruza" accurates in nov.!!
giving a shout out to my new east coast buddies (wicked pissa'), meltons crew, alan, n everyone up north and down here...

Smile Your wicked pissa

So this dude from Cali comes to RI...brings a rod and reel couple of lures and walks down to the Rivah tryiing to catch a Stripah...(the fish)..Locals ask him what he's doin on the Rivah and the dude from Cali say guys I can't understand a word your saying...and so it begins

We have to teach Jason how to speak back east and up north...he does a pretty good job of it also...

Now I gotta tell yeah you have to make the run of "BRUZA'S" sooner!

We did have a wickedly good time in RI...Then last weekend WAHOONBOX came up and we did some serious stuff with bringin the heat to the meat

GLAD YOU CAME OUT OF THE CLOSET
