REALLY? Make sure these are new (non floor sample reels) as Penn does not allow retailers to make those type of large price cuts to sell their reels? Who is discounting Penn Reels this dramatically? Go with 80's in the rod holders or 70 stand-ups but if you get into true giants you wil have your work cut out for you and the fish will be cooked by the time she's landed. |

I've put some severe beatings on fish with the 70's. I'd take a 70 over an 80 because when it comes to maneuverability that slightly smaller profile and slight weight difference add up to a big advantage. I fight mostly fish stand up but on big fish you can drop into the rod holder and not be at a huge disadvantage. Its a personal choice, and i prefer the 70.

70s will cut it but if you are going to be ,mostly targeting giants of size i would go for the 130s.
heres a video of guy fighting a Giant stand up on a 70. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Uk0PyMQ6M8g |

or you could go with Fissues spread :
4 130's 2 Accurate 80's 4 Shimano 50WLRS and a few random spinners all deployed at the same time ![]() ![]() Just plain sickening. ![]()
