IT'S TIME FOR YOU TO GO FISHING You are bidding on a 1988 Lurhs Alura down-east style hard top cruiser that is a tuna boat. You will receive not only the boat but, all the gear, the fishing poles and equipment, the big game poles, all the safety equipment including a state of the art survival raft by Givens, all the major overhauled drive system parts and components, a state of the art navigation system and a slip in Boston Harbor that is fully paid for (summer season of 2009). I have inquired about the slip transfer to a different user and have been told that this would not be an issue. The boat is docked at Boston Harbor and ready to go out to the well known Stellwagon Banks, Cape Cod, the well know Gloucester fishing banks or wherever you choose to go. As featured in the pictures, the boat has a semi-displacement hull and is 35' 5â?? long and has a 12' 2" beam with a draft of 2' 11". The boat weighs 12,800 lbs. and is powered with gas. This boat has been fully re-powered in 2004 with rebuilt pleasure craft engines that are 350 cubic inch. Each engine has 270 HP. for a combined 540 HP. The rebuilt engines have very limited hours on them because the boat was purchased in October of 2004 and used for about 15 hrs that year. In 2005, I was busy with my business and again it had very limited use. The transmissions have been fully rebuilt in 2006 by a marine transmission re-builder in Florida known as Transmarine. I have also installed new damper plates, transmission coolers and new transmission lines, and new transmission alarms that are located next to the captain. The boat also has two Carter 4 bbl carburetors.. I have installed new blower lines and new toilet lines in 2005. Both 1-¼â?? diam. shafts and cutlass bearings where replaced new in 2006. A new set of props where installed in 2006 which are top of the line 4 blade and the props were matched to this boat specifically using 4 different computer programs including prop scan. The props are bronze and had a cost of $1,700.00 alone. A new fresh water pump has also been installed along with two new bilge pumps in 2006. The boat has a new halon fire suppression system that was installed in 2005 and is fully charged at this time. All new canvases have been installed at the beginning of last year and there is an extra set of canvases that have been reconditioned and repaired with all new plastic for winter storage. THE PORT MOTOR IS OVERHEATING AS OF LAST SEASON 2008. WE ARE GOING TO CHANGE THE IMPELLOR AND ALL HOSES AND WATER PUMP AND THIS SHOULD SOLVE THE ISSUE. I use two of the live wells for storage of ropes etc. There is also a gaff, net and miscellaneous ropes and lines included. Most boats give you a large galley and berth and a small deck or a large deck and a small galley and sleeping area. This boat gives you all that you could want and more. The boat is designed so everything is accessible to you when you want it...cook while they fish or relax while they cook or everyone fishes and then everyone relaxesâ?¦whatever you want. The boat is simply a great design for all uses including big game fish, cod, haddock, strippers and so on. In the bay or 45 miles outâ?¦I have been 45 miles out on a flat day and also 25 miles out with seas at 8 to 10 feet. The boat has always performed for me and my passengers. This marina is located in East Boston (across from the Boston Marriot and the Italian section of Boston). There are water taxis that will bring you from your boat at the slip to the Boston waterfront for dining and sightseeing and also return you back to the Marina when you are done. The marina has a full laundromat and bathrooms with showers available to you. Your boat is always accessible 24 hours a day and also is watched by an on staff security company. Any complicated boat repair may be made on site using Boston Boat Works. This Marina is NOT A SNOB marina where martinis and Baked Alaska are served. This is a working marina for you to enjoy and use at your leisure with your friends and family.
