I am looking to sell this Avet MXL 5.8 reel for $180 comes with 50lb braid. There is some minor rash i would say 9/10 cosmetically and 9/10 mechanically

Why you are you selling it...color or something else??? Also how old is it???

I am actually trying to do a friend a favor... he has a cpl of these reels and he's been trying to sell this one but isn't on any of the forums and has never use ebay to sell anything...

I saw the reel today and I have never owned or fished with an Avet but i did notice some backplay in the reel?!?!? and he told me that this is found on all Avets?!?! So i am concerned about selling this reel as it's a representation of me and i don't want any negative feedback, thats not how i roll... hes telling me its mechanically 9/9 but i quite honestly found the backplay to be annoying?!?!

So i dont want to sell this reel at this time, i told him i wasnt comfortable but i am Interested to hear if you guys own these reels if you experince similar back play and if that is acutally "normal" for an Avet reel.

i don't know what you mean by backplay, but avets do not have instant anti reverse if that is what you are talking about.
