i know there has to be a commercial market for them. I see them in the fish stores in philadelphia. I figure they have to be frozen much like butterfish

Crab mustard is good
I can get them commercially BUT their scales will be messed up and they will not be uniform in size or anything like that. The commercial caught mullet we have are caught in a gill net and that takes some of the scales off and they may be half a pound or may be 2 pounds and all will be in the same box.

I use them on my dredges. it's very expensive to by from the regular bait suppliers as you know. I'm not real worried about the cosmetics, as I am them being fresh/frozen and being roughly 8"

Wre are you located and what time of year do you need them? I can cast net all you can possibly handle, but not until late summer and fall.

need them for primarely july, thru sept. are they 8-10"? can you freeze in bulk? everyone uses them, but cant fine 50 lb bulk
