When I get Home...

Been thinking about it for a while... I work 7 days a week keeping the boat I work on right and keeping the owners other boats running... I have two perfectly good boats of my own gathering dust.

First off I hate to see good boats not get used. Second I'm not tickled having to cut checks for storage for boats I'm not using. I know its a whie til I get back to Palm Beach where they are but figured I'd get the ball rolling with this quickie heads up.

Boat one is a 1986 Aquasport 20' witha a 1992 Yammie 115 two stroke. Plain Jane hard core fishing skiff. Draws eight inches but can take a big sea. Cosmetics a touch rough but for what I'm gonna ask ($3000) a little easily cleaned dust can be excused.

Boat two is Deep C herself... 1991 Albemarle 27. Full tower, senior riggers, dressed to kill... Powered by a pair of 230hp Peninsular diesels she squirts at a modest 22 knots and burns very little doing it... Port motor only has 500 hours on new long block assembly. I've got $60k wrapped up in her but am very realistic when it comes to the market... Not priced quite yet I'm guessing a bit over half of what I have wrapped up in her will be the asking...

Both boats have been sitting. When I get back I need a few days to shake the dust off and make sure they are running ready... Food for thought right now...

Those aren't meat fish flags there on the Aquasport are they?

In all seriousness - does the aquasport have a trailer?

2500-3000... Always babied... Used to have a full time mechanic looking after her. He was pragmatic about stuff. Routine maintainence for him included carb rebuilds, pull and inspect the stator and flywheel... At any sign of anything he changed out... Now she has sat except for a couple times for a year. I'm planning on changing out her filters and fuel line, clean the carbs, throw out the fuel and put in fresh, do the lower unit. Gonna do that whether or not I sell her...

Straight shaft... Outdrive or Jack shaft just don't hold up in Florida climate....
