Nice, Where is the best place to fish a dredge? Do you run a naked bally right behind it on a different reel? I was thinking of putting it out on a kicker rigger right in front of a flat line. Thanks

Could you share what conditions dictate what color dredge you use? Thanks

I like the pink on dark cloudy days & rough water....I like blue /white on clear sunny days & calm water & also rough water....It also depends on the bait that Im seeing In the area....If I see chit loads of flying fish on the way to the fishing grounds you bet your azz Im putting out the blue/white....Most of the boys In OI & Pirates Cove use 6 to 8 lbs of weight but thats because there pulling double dreadges..I like to pull a double as well but wasnt able to pack all that for Costa Rica....I like my dreadge deep & under my spread away from any prop wash...

Jimmy K thanks a lot for the explanation. I really appreciate all of the shared info since I am relatively new at this sport.

I think one of the keys to Jimmy's dredge is the combination fake hoo and real hoos that he uses. Also the type of hoo he uses are awesome. I can't remember what he said they were but it was hard at the head and soft at the tail. They look impressive in the water.
