Instead of buying it, there are a few places that will lease it to you via a terminal server. It's pretty slick - you can access it anywhere, and you automatically get the updated versions when they come out. You'd have to search around - not sure what the monthly fee would be for a single user.

Marty, just remember QuickBooks, like most software, becomes obsolete every two years or so. You might want to see if 2009 is available so you don't have to buy it again next year. Just my 2 cents in the debit column.
