Look into local auctions of restaurants or conveniance stores. Three weeks ago I saw a Hoshizaki 350lb unit go for 500 bucks. Should be a good bit of those in your neck of the woods. Good luck.

Keep an eye on Ebay under Ice Machine (Ice maker doesn' work as well, you'll get a lot of ice cream makers). I check on there every once and a while and will find something of interest.
