Paul what's the advantage to doing the guides like that? That is the 1st time I have seen them done this way - unique.

Thanks DD ...pellicot that way of making a rod stable under load has been around since the early 1900.called the Roberts Wrap. now renames Acid wrap, spirial wrap,and some do it with a "Bumper" guide it is a great way to make a rod. you Fight the fish NOT the rod...takes all the Torque out of your hands..

Paul & Double D - thanks. It's a wonder more aren't done this way as it seems to make sense. I have not seen any rods like that beforeso there must not be alot out there except for the custom built.

i build almost all my rods like that..there is one production rod Made by shemanO. the manufactures wont make them because the are "too different" they dont Care what WORKS they care what SELLS..

Ok Paul how do you spline a rod to do an ACID wrap? I have build several sandard rods and this looks very interesting.
