Spiral wrapped bailer

The rod is a Shikari 15-30 blank with American Tackle holographic ring guides, silver/blue reel seat, chevron butt wraps, and an Avet SX reel from ECT.

Does it matter which way the guides are spiral wrapped? I thought they were supposed to go left for right hand.

It doesn't matter which way you go with it, it's all the same. I have 5 50# class rods that I built this way and they have been great rods.

Guides/Crank

Generally I spiral the guides to the same side that the crank is on the reel...90% to the right...occasionally to the left. Not so important on a salt water rod but for fresh water bass fishing the rod gets tossed down with the crank always up. Helps protect the guide. The forces are the same either way.
