Strong 4 oz Jigs

From saltyrons shop , I get a lot of people ask me if these big jigs are strong to take the pounding, and if the hooks break like a lot of Spro Jig hooks do, when you have a fish on. I have inclosed some pictures of the hooks that are set in my Jigs when they come out of the pouring mold. The pictures show 4 oz. Jigs with 9/0 thick xx strong hook. These jigs are in raw form before trimed and painted and the fish hair bodys placed on. You can see in the pictures how thick the hooks are against the 4 oz. jig, and the tie on or rig on point thats the round eye that is the hook itself. So you rig or tie to the hook its self that runs threw the molded head. Makes a very strong jig for big fish. All my jigs are done this way, with strong Mustad xx strong or VMC xx strong saltwater hooks, and all these hooks can be sharpened when gets dull from jigging with a battery cone sharpener or electric one. The one picture is of the HOOK OUTSIDE the completed jig to show how it runs threw the jig head. These are strong jigs, i can mold in hooks from 4/0 to 12/0 size in xx strong.
