    They originally came from Texas gulf coast I think.

    I have no idea but the serial #'s are A930550 and A920022. If you really need to know, maybe Penn can tell you.

    With big reels, age really isn't important. Joe Shute/Fishfinder will be able to tell you more about this, but he gets 1 year old reels back in for service that look like they have been stored under water.

    You can also have a reel thats 20 years old that has been serviced and had handle upgrades and be in better shape than the one year old reels.

    If taken care of, these will outlast you and me. They are in great shape.

    I'm pretty sure the year of manufacture is the first two numbers in the serial #. That makes them 1993 and 1992.
