    Here is some specific info..............

We sell floating docks that come in bundled sections. The largest bundle we would need to handle is 10’ wide x 80” tall x 70” deep and would weigh roughly 1600 lbs. We offload from a flatbed trailer that sits in the road and can only be accessed from one side with tight maneuvering required. We would like to have a reach height of around 12’ and an added bonus would be picking bundles from across the truck without having to manipulate them before hand. We’re considering fork extensions, but the maneuvering is probably too tight for this to be a viable option. The area is not level and the surface is going to be a combination of crushed gravel, gravel, 4” stone, pavement, and grass that gets mushy when wet. We only offload about 8 times a year. The rest of the time, the lift will not be in use.

That mushy ground thing is gonna be a pain in the but with a regular forklift. You may need to go with something with inflatable tires to overcome that obstical. Kinda like what you see hanging off the back of some of these flatbed trucks delivering building materials. They will be overkill in the weight department but the mud issue almost dictates them.A regular forklift does not have any suspension and the second you get it off of a flate plane your gonna spin tires and risk flipping it. Those 3 wheelers I'm talking about are designed for exactly what you describe.Might want to take a look in that direction . Just a suggestion.

Look for a JCB 520 Reach Forklift. It weighs 10K, has 4 wheel steering and has a telescopic boom so you can load / unload from 1 side of the truck. Very small frame and can move into really tight areas. Also has 4WD and traction style tires.
