hahaha.. your right dstriper she is not doing stuff.. I would be fine with or without selling it but selling it would make things so much better..

My dogs got attacked 8 months ago by my neighbors dog killing one of them and injuring the other.. put me back 4k in medical bills for my dog and i lost a part of the family making things tougher and tougher.. It seems like i just can not catch up.. never past due but never ahead.. one of those situations..

I will be able to replace it one day in the near future but i am also not going to be offshore fishing as much.. trying to sell my boat but i got a pain in the azz partner (my father) who rather look at it collect dust then trade it in for another one! Go figure!!

You need to stop, now. You did your best. You will just have to
hang on to YOUR stuff. Explain to the wife that you are a fisherman,
you were when you met, and you will be when she's gone. Also,
it is going to be very expensive to replace all this tackle when your
kid wants to go fishing. The wife certainly wouldn't deny your son/daughter
the special bonding time you will have when your fishing.

What she selling?

I've been where you are, hold your ground. You'll make it without
selling your stuff. What if you didn't have this stuff to sell? You would make it, right?

I havnt gone through the kid thing yet but im not exactly sure that you should be telling a pregnant woman that ur gonna be a fishermen when she is GONE?

My wife gave me the ultimatum 17 years ago, when our first was born.
"It's fishing or me" I told her "Don't make me choose" We're still happily
married and my boys and I fish together 150 days a year. Of course
I have to treat her like a princess when I'm not fishing but, hey,
fishing is an expensive sport.
