    mondo blue marlin fling gaff

    selling my mondo blue marlin fling gaff, dont let the big one get away during the big tournament.This 3 foot wide fling gaff has a 26 inch throat and fits aftco fling gaff shafts. This thing says kill and kill something big only for manly men not girly men. Made out of stainless steel. MAKE AN OFFER!!!!!!!!!!!

    was handed down by my grandfather used for commercial fishing believe me this thing is a serious fling gaff. NOTICE: Green peacers don't even look at this thread avoid at all cost.

    Why a "fling" gaff, do you throw it?

    Interested in how this thing works if someone can explain it to me, it looks cool though.

    Looks like long arms may be in order to get that big boy over the back for gaff shot.

    It is a flying gaff......why would you need long arms? It goes on a pole just like any other flying gaff.

    Unless I misread the picture, the line at the end of gaff head leads me to believe that is the end that inserts into the handle. If I see it correctly, looking at the tape as reference, the point appears to reach way up the handle. If the point is two feet up the handle, it stands to reason that you would need to reach two feet past the desired point of entry. Not trying to be smart, but with most heads utilizing the point near the end of the handle, you need to be within the sum of gaff length and your physical reach. If, again, unless I misread the picture, the point appears to be approximately two feet closer to the mate, effectively reducing the above example. By the same token, if the other end of head goes into the handle, that massive unit would extend your range. Either way, an impressive piece of stainless

    According to the original post it fits AFTCO flying gaff shafts....
