Kingfish Reels

I know you got some great input here but i must throw out my little bit of theory..

i am probably the hardest person in the country on my reels and i mean hard..i beat the hell out of them and use them for chit that they arent meant to be used for..

i have had a small avet (dontknow model but small blue one) i loaded it up with 50lb power pro and have used it for 3 years jigging, seabass, blackfish, bluefish, and i used it for two years tuna fishing and i can say it has probably seen its fair share of 30 tuna on it in 2 years..

i have NEVER services this reel. once.. and it still works like a dream....

i will never buy another conventional reel other than avets.. i think i now have about 4 of them.. and all have been beat to hell and still looks and work like a charm..

Yeah we have thought about it once we find the new reels we want. I am having them cleaned right now to get ready for the Gregory Poole KMT.

Avet all the way...have been fishing them for the last three years and love them. If you can find some 8:1's they kick ass

Billy first off let me say nice avitar, next thanks for the heads up on the Avents. Now can you tell me if the avents that are 8:1's are lever drag?

Also does anyone know how much to list a set of 4 TLD 15's for? I mean 1 of these is brandnew, but the other 3 are about 3 years old.

You may need to call Avet directly to find 8:1s - Take a look at their website... http://www.avetreels.com/products.html

yeah they are a lever drag reel. you can check ebay i see some on there from time to time

the 8.1 LX is no longer availibile unless you fine them on ebay
