For mid water species, my group likes a single hook on top. For targeting bottom dwellers, we like a single hook rigged on the bottom. Most importantly, go with what you have faith in, have fun and good jigging.

In the past three months they have caught everything from Amberjacks in wilmington, nc to yellowfin tuna in the NE.
They have a long looping action. For targeting bottom species, fish as rigged. If you are targeting mid water, you can flip the jig around with the heavy end up top.
