    International 80 Feeler

Have a guy looking to offload a International 80 with rod (bent butt) not sure what rod. Said reel is in good shape, but not mint. He is looking for $400. I have no idea what it is worth, but thought someone here may be interested.

    Too Good a deal?

If the bent butt is a quality rod then your looking at $1,100-1,500 new replacement.
May want to confirm it's not hot, or maybe you know the guy and it's just a good deal.

Ebay the straight 80 penns usually get about 300-350 for the reel. Rods don't hold much value on the used end. I just bought a bent butt stick for on there for $70 just for a shark/ wreck rod and it was in pretty good shape. Even the custom stuff is comming down pretty quick. The sticks i had custom built for my tiagras and 80wide stuff retail for around $500. Being in the business I get a deep dish break...

I have 2 Penn 80s that I got on Ebay. Did not pay over $300 for either one of them and they were in great shape. They are single speeds, but still got great deals on them.

Not stolen, just thought I would see if there was any interest here as he asked if we knew anyone looking. The guy lives in SW Florida and there is no need for a reel like that there. Thanks for the replies
