I was down at the factory yesterday and for anyone that was curious on what this boat would turn with the trip 300's there is another 33t with triple 300 Verados that the another dealer tested with some different props and the boat turned up to 72MPH with minor tweaking of the props

A few years ago, I think the Contender factory would rig with only Yamaha, and the Mercury Verdao 275 (largest Verado available at the time).

It appears that they now rig with Merc V300's.

Can you tell me which non-Yamaha engines (besides the Merc V300) are currently available from the Contender factory?

(Nothing against Yamaha- just curious about engine options.)

Nothing is available factory direct outside of Mercury or Yamaha

Mercury and Yamaha are primarily the only engines available direct from Contender.

Other engines are available thru your dealer if they have it available to them ETEC, Suzuki, Honda what ever. Contender does the pre-rig on the gauges and harnesses and the dealer purchases the motors and hangs them and props them at the dealership.

The other name brand mention above should only be considered if your local dealer supports them or you have a reputable servicing dealer in the vicinity.

The main reason that Contender offers only the Mercury and Yamaha packages is that there are servicing dealers world wide and the other names the servicing dealers are scarce well at least here they are.

Contender will not package or offer them because the product can not be backed and they can not assist if a problem is to arise.

Sorry about that..

The answer to that is no, because it is not a motor that they stock directly but then again the 300's are not on my list. I would have to think although I have not asked if I called them up to put a set of Opti 250xs they might do it but I couldn't say for sure

What props did they use on the 33T -- Trip Verado 300 application? What batteries? I am also working on a new 33T but with twin 300 Verados. Is any dealership going to display the 33T at the NYC show?
