With the Oct. wahoo bite red hot here off the N.C coast there has been a lot discussion about how to catch these speed demons and what tackle the "pros" are using day in and day out to fill the box.
With that in mind, I decided to put together what I consider my ideal wahoo spread and offer it for sale here on sportfishermen.com. This bucket has it all ready to go you need to do nothing but add the ballyhoo. If you were to charter the Fight'n Lady tommorrow this is exactly what you would see me put out over the course of the day.
Included is:
A rigging bucket which I have replaced the metal handle with a nice rope handle.
4 ilander jr. style heads hand tied. 1 blue/crystal/purple, 1 "bruiser" blue/black, 1 purple/black, 1 "Mr. T" all black with a lot of flash. All four have flash tied in.
2 sailures. 1 blue/purple/black, 1 blue/crytal. Both have flash tied in
2 planner baits. 1 green/purple, 1 blue/pink
All these baits are rigged on 10' of #8 wire with chin weights for the witches and brand new 8/0 7731AD needle eye hooks. I have made them pin rigs and I will be glad to put monel on the hooks if you would like. The price for all 20 rigs and the bucket is $250 plus shipping.
Thanks for sending the bucket....I'm impressed with your color selections and workmanship. You mentioned the gift idea...how much notice do you need. Also, are you thinking of doing the same for dolphin and sails?
