Well this summer for the first time I fished in a Jersey Cape. I fished on a boat called the Sails out of Schooner Island Marina. This boats was incredible to say the least. We fished the Stone Harbor Tournament for two days 105 miles from Cape May in 1400 fatoms behind the Poormans canyon. The first day we stopped alittle short in the 95 mile range and trolled off and the second day we ran all the way there. One day round trip we burned 90 some gallons of fuel and the next we burned 105. I would guess our average cruising speed over the two days would be in the high 30 range. WE fished this boat for two days just myself and the owner with no problem, we were pulling tripple dredges and the whole deal. On the second day the wind kicked up on the way home and we still were making 30 some knots in like a 4 foot head sea, the boat did come out of the water once but never pounded. If some one is looking for a bad a$$ center console this is the boat for you. Here is the link. http://www.cardinalyachts.com/used_v...6b7f8318ea008d
