can anyone recommend a place to get some new bolster pads for the inside of my cockpit? One ripped last summer pretty badly and if I'm replacing one I might as well replace two! Where do I get these?

my boat sits in cape may for the summer, but i travel up and down the east coast quite frequently. Going someplace to pick them up is not a problem. where's this place in conn?
Tags there is a car place in S. jersey that did my Grady and the cushions matched perfect. If your interested send me a pm and I'll get the name and number to you.
If you can remove them that would be your best bet trying to find someone to come to the boat might be a task. I know places up here that can patch them and 5 years later you would never know. Also there is a really good upholstery shop up by me that does top notch work and has done work for me for 7 years.
Undercover Upholstery - Brick - Ask for Bob tell him Mary from Ocean Beach sent ya I don't think he knows that I moved
Creative Colors I think brick also??? Would have to check on that one
Also something to consider depending on the age of the boat and if the backing is wood and you may want to replace with starboard or something like.

is it possible to just tell a shop to make two new bolster pads for u? then u pick them up, rip off the old ones and put the new ones on? does it work like that or is it more complex?
I HAD MINE REPLACED AT A PLACE IN VINELAND,NJ , ON MAIN RD CALLED STRITMATTER UPHOLSTERING. MADE BOTH SIDES EXACTLY LIKE THE ORIGINALS, AND IN A TIMLEY FASHION. I BELIEVE FOR $190 FOR THE PAIR...DAVE
I would definitely recommend either taking your old ones to the shop you select or have them come to your boat and measure, etc.
The place I use is Custom Marine Canvas in Noank, CT located at Spicers Marina. Tel: 860-572-9547...ask for Sue ....and tell them James Dean from the "Maggie B" on I-dock sent you.
They are not the cheapest around but they do excellent work in a timely manner.
Tags11, I had mine done by Gioia Sails, Inc. (pronounced goya) in Lakehurst, NJ. I have a 38 Luhrs Convertible and they did mine about 5 years ago with a composite backing and gave me clips to easily put them on and take them off for the season. They are still in great shape. They also have done my Enclosure and soft top. They are first class and will travel if needed. www.gioiasails.com Good Luck.
