Bluefin Popping Rod/Reel Combo

Includes:

1. Spheros 14000FB, upgraded Carbontex greased drag washers, and upgraded to Saragosa handle. Caught one 70lb Bluefin on this reel. Includes ~400 yards of70lb Daiwa Braid, bimini twisted to a 100lb Pametfisher Streamline leader.

2. Bar-Bar Tackle Custom Bluefin Popping rod. 7'3" long, very strong, great handle and balance. I had this up to 25lbs of drag, no problem, and didn't go further, but I know it can.

Also includes rod lug so you can strap into rod for those really large fish.

This rod / reel combo casts exactly like my OTI Popping rod. Honestly no difference. Plenty of backbone yet able to cast the lures you need for those Bluefin or other species.


Replacement is $630+. Selling here for $350, plus $15 shipping in rod tube.
