Blast from the past!

Hey all-

Dug this old sounder out of the closet. Wondering what it might be worth to someone. Bought new in 82 i think, it sat in a box for many years then it (the brackets) was installed in the late 80's but the unit was not used. A bad ducer wire was to blame and the unit was forgotten with a new LCD unit also on the boat. So let me know what ya think.

What I Think

I think you'll have a hard time finding the paper for it.

I had one of those laying around from my dad's boat. Same as you, got forgotten when the color machine went in. I ended up scrapping it.

Please, nobody tell me it's worth a bunch as a collector's item. I'd be P.O.'d 'cause the only collectors for those that I'm aware of come down the block twice a week with a big truck.

I used to have a flasher, it had a spinning wheel and a bunch of leds that flashed to indicate depth I think it was a Ray Jefferson. Probably in a box somewhere in the basement.....

Redix in wrightsville beach still has about 10 rolls of paper for that thing. I have seen it numerous times and wondered to myself if anyone still had a machine to go with the paper. Just in case whoever buys it actually want's to hook it up.
