Posting this for our member "rwtrower" (Bob).
1982 Formula F233 Sportfisherman 1992 Evinrude 200HP on Gill Bracket Galvanized Roller Trailer Best Offer over $5,500, would like to get $6,000 Bob bought the boat (this past season) to use while working in Newport (RI) area but lives in Arkansas. Now he will no longer be working in Newport and is going to be back in Arkansas full time. Obviously won't need the boat LOL. I went to see it the other day and we uncovered it. The pics I took came out only OK, because it was VERY foggy and the mist kept getting water spots on my lens, plus it was getting dark. Anyway, better than nothing. The hull is a great solid hull, floor is VERY solid as well and is original.....good sign! Previous owner removed the Inboard/Outboard power and had the transom glassed/plugged and had a Gill Bracket installed with this outboard on it. Bracket/Outboard look very clean, the job was done shortly before Bob bought it. He had the motor checked out by a mechanic before he bought it and it checked out clean & strong! He did a couple things (electrical I think) that it needed to really run perfect and she runs sweet now. Gets 37 MPH at 5500 RPM WOT. Sounds just right for that power too. The engine "hole" was not patched/closed up with new floor, an aluminum plate (with welded support ribs under) was installed with a hinge so you have full access to the bilge. The single-axle trailer you see in the first pic is NOT the one it comes with. He put it on a dual-axle Galvanized roller trailer with working Electric Winch. One tire currently may need air, we couldn't tell if it was in a "hole" in the pine needles or flat. The ground is heavily laden with needles and uneven where it is sitting. The boat is just dirty in the pics from sitting under the trees and having a tarp on her. Just needs a bucket of soap and water. Hull looks to be in real good shape! Boat is in storage so interior pics aren't so great, as there was stuff stored in the cuddy also. DEFINITELY WORTH A LOOK-SEE AT THIS PRICE!!!! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

LOL, thanks guys, but Ol' Yellar ain't flyin' the coup yet. LOL
Wife wants a bigger boat in the somewhat near future but it's just not in the cards yet. So, ol' yellar will be getting her radar this year and hopefully a life raft/epirb Anyway, just tryin' to help Bob out with his boat Nice solid one at that ![]() PS: There IS a lot of fishing room in this model for sure, Jesse.....even mine that has the engine box still has a pretty wide open floor, this one even more so with the OB. ![]() |

Looks like a real nice boat. I like the style, and the size. If this only showed up in late March (waiting for Tax return, bonus, and raise...LOL) ...I may have been interested. It would be perfect for my family's needs, and meet mine for longer and more stable travel. Oh well, I'm sure my deal will show up when the time is right. |
