62' Custom Carolina Hull Only

A friend of mine builds custom sportfishermen on Harkers Island. He is in the process of building about a ~62 footer. He sells the unfinished hull with house and flybridge, you finish to your specks. The hulls are strip and frame with epoxy and a layer of glass. He has built a number of hulls, one you may be familiar with is the Point Runner out of Oregon Inlet, NC and the Pelagic out of Atlantic Beach, NC. PM me for contact info. His hulls have reputation of being very good head sea boats and he he is one the few master boatbuilders remaining.....he builds the boats alone(no crew) and is very meticulous. Look at http://www.pointrunner.com/ and http://www.pelagicsportfishing.com/ for pics of the hull shape

I would have to refer you to him for cost, generally the boat is trailered to East Bay Boatworks and launched with the travel lift. From there the buyer pulls the boat to the boatyard of his choice and has the boat finished to his individual specks. I think he prefers to do it this way. I know with the Point Runner, the buyer hired a friend of mine to tow it to Wanchese to be finished out.

My cousin and I were talking to Dave Peck and he was explaining how they finished the Point Runner. He said it was exactly the way they wanted. Good luck to whoever buys this hull.
