Anybody know where I can find some 42 inch bars, titanium or stainless. Just the bars not rigged.

    Capt. Brian,
Ok , I'll take your word for it. It sounds like you have a lot more experience than I do. Have you ever seen or tested a 42in. bar? Was it stainless or titanium and how was it rigged. I want this size for 18 in squid. Have you used this size squid on a 36in. bar? Just curious! Seems like we used them years ago but I could be wrong. Thanks for your reply. By the way is Carolines still going strong there in your town?

The bars of yesteryear that we used where stainless steel and havey i use
titanium give a better rythum and flex with the squids and yes I have used
18in squids for GBT but mosty a live bait bar for them 18in will fit on a 36in
I would use 150 lb test line for the sides and use 300 streight down the middle
now if you are going to use the 42in bar and cut yourself remember to hang
the squids further down from the bar so she wont hit the water and depends
on what you will fill the squids with foam or weight depending on sea conductions

    Capt. Brian,
Thanks again for the tips. I usually use 300lb leader on those bars. The one I use to have produced a lot of fish for me. I use to also drag it as a teaser without a hook. Anyhow, I did find the bars. I just wanted another one back in the arsenal.

We have 3/32" heat treated Stainless spring steel. I'm in the Metal biz and I now exactly what type of spring steel i needed when we made our bars. they are strong, fexible, and have no memory. They perform just as good as the Titanium bars for a 1/3 of the price.
