30 Chris Craft Tournament Project Boat for sale.
Here's a little info on the 30 Tournament: It’s the same deep V hull as a 31 Bertram just better. It was designed by Ray Hunt and they corrected allot of the flaws in the 31 Bert. Hunt added more free board, larger fly bridge, larger cabin and nice bow flare for a dry ride. Bertram actually sued Chris Craft because CC was coping the hull of 31 Bert. Bertram won the suit and Chris Craft had to stop production. It’s an awesome boat that I planning to completely re-do but unfortunately can not continue. Allot of work has already been completed. If you are looking to re-store a classic this is the boat you want. With all of the work that’s been done already you will save ton of time and money over starting from scratch.

The 30’ ChrisCraft Tournament Sportfish has a reputation for being an extremely stable yet superb head sea running sport fishing boat. They are sought after today as many people are repowering with diesels since the hull offers an extremely wide beam, full accommodations with a large v-berth, dinette, galley and a nice sized head along with a large flybridge that seats four. The cockpit area is large with raised engine hatches that provide for excellent seating. The wide beam of the ChrisCraft 30’ Tournament provides for a surprisingly spacious cabin below with berths for four, a well-arranged galley area with plenty of storage. The salon is finished throughout in teak. With 315 HP diesel engines, the boat should cruise above 25 knots and still be somewhat economical.
Work completed already:
Bottom stripped, faired, barrier coated and painted. Some minor work remains.
Front window glass removed and glassed in.
Engines removed along with everything the bilge.
5" exhaust tubes thru transom ready for new diesels.
Bilges cleaned and almost ready for paint.
Rear lower bulkhead replaced, upper was replace a short time ago.
Added a front bulkhead for additional support.
Most of the exterior hardware has been removed and holes filled.
Installed new aluminum rudder shelves with bearings.
Rudder ports removed and resealed. Rudder installed.
Installed a new stainless steering tie rod with new bronze tiller arms.
Struts removed (one brand new) and not re-installed yet.
Cabin is in good shape and needs a head liner and few other things.
Upholstery for the dinette and the v-berth are brand new and never installed on the boat. The table also has new Formica on it and not installed in the boat yet.
The flybridge bench seat has been reupholstered and never used.
Boat is located in South Jersey. It can easily be moved on a trailer.
I am looking for $12,000 or best offer. I have a lot more than that into her but really need to sell. For additional information or to see the boat I can be reached at 609-760-2228.
