Nice looking boat! Im looking for a Contender 27. You mentioned your website but I was unable to locate it. Any info on fuel comsumption and speed with those OX66s. Most of the 27s I have looked at are newer and have four strokes on them. Any insight would be helpful. Thanks!

3900 rpm burns 36gph @39 mph (not knots). The boat runs real smooth at that speed. 3100 rpm burns 24gph at around 30mph.
If I open it up on a nice day loaded with people,ice, fish, and gear, it runs between 48-52mph @5200rpm and it's burning 50gph.
An average day trip 45 miles out trolling all day and back in usually burn around 80-100 gals. I can fish 3 days out of Morehead if all the tanks are full and I'm careful.
When I bought it I wanted a 60mph boat so bad but I never could get there. I've seen 59mph with the wind, low on fuel,with the current, and just me on board but I mostly cruise it between 30-40 mph.

Alot of people shim the trim tabs on the 27's to put the bow down more but my boat has an extra 40gal tank up front that when full, makes it run perfect.
One thing to note is it has never been a tournament king mackeral boat. It's down at Ocean Isle right now so you are welcome to come down anytime and take a look.

Sounds good. Are the pictures you have on the post fairly current? I see you posted it in November. Thanks for the info it is very helpful. I'm interested in taking a look at the boat. Yeah they were taken in November and it has been fished maybe 3 times since then.
