why are you selling?

We repower every year. Last year, we sold our 08 engines in the middle of charter season and had miss 2 days of trips. We don't want to have to do that this year, also, the boat that they are on is a little on the heavy side for these engine's, the dry weight is 7500 lbs, or somewhere in the neighborhood of 11,000 lbs fully loaded. They have plenty of power for the boat, but I have to run them a little harder than I like. With the 225 opti's we had before, I'd cruise at 3800 rpm, with these it's around 4600. The motors have had all scheduled maintence on time, and are in great shape. The owner of the boat is also the owner of Holden Beach Marina, which is a full Mercury dealer. If anyone is interested, we could work something out with the rigging.
