1968 RS Camaro FOR SALE!!
When I bought the car it had a new crate 350 in it. We pulled out the motor, and added the following high performance parts: new L-79 corvette cam and lifters, tighter valve springs to match cam, scats crank and bearings, Edelbrock performer intake, new clutch kit in the muncie 4 spd (not positive of which model the transmission is) holly 600 carb, various chrome, new chrome alternator, engine already had headers. I turned the car over to my body shop guy, who had it at his house for 9 months. During that time the car was stripped down, and taken apart. No major body work was needed, and the car already had new fenders and quarterpanels. I must say that the body and paint are beautiful. I did have him install the electric conversion kit for the hideaway headlights. New wiring from the firewall forward. The car already had new seats, carpet, and headliner when I bought it, although the headliner is an amateur job. The tires are great, and along with the body work and paint, the rims were blasted, primed and painted to original. The things left to do are minor, and would probably add up to less than $1,000 worth of parts, and take a weekend to do. It also depends on what level of perfection you are aiming for. If I kept the car, I would replace the back package deck, it was hacked up when aftermarket speakers were installed, replace the chrome window moldings, there are a few dings in the trim, there is no radio, just a hole where I took out the non functioning stereo, so I would install some tunes. The bumpers are fair, but for a hundred bucks a piece, are worth replacing. There is a crack in the dash, but from the drivers seat isn't visible, so I wouldn't worry about it (but that's me). The grill has a couple plastic pieces missing, but not very noticable. The glass is original, so the windows are what you would expect from a 40 year old car. It doesn't bother me, but I don't go to big car shows.Underneath of the car is solid, and all the guages work inside. The car has power steering and power brakes. No A/C. With the car goes a cover and a "park smart" mat plus the original wood steering wheel. Email Dave@godspeedcharters.com or call 252-995-3311 (before 8:30 PM) |

Talk to Dale Stump or Eric Stump in Salvo. They may be interested. Not sure of the number but Dale has a Auto Shop by the Blue Whale in Salvo.
Glad I'm not home or I would end up with this car! Nice one! |

I saw this car a month or two ago, when I bought a reel off Dave. As a former body shop owner, I can say the paint and body work is very nice. Clean paint job!
If I had the dough, it would be mine. Good luck on the sale Dave. Greg |

Dave,
Would you be interested in taking a 19 year old boy in on trade??? Of course I'd kick in a few buck's for boot! Shame you're gonna sell the Camaro, I understand. I've still got a rebuilt J-10 Jeep pick-up here that's need's a home too. Rebuilt it with the idea I'd never sell it, guess never comes sooner than we think sometimes. Keep the Faith, it'll work out! Frank
