Port engine cavatation plate above the prop was damaged in a storm back in July 2009 from a spile on the dock. It has not affected the performance of the engine or done any internal damage to the lower unit what so ever. It is a cosmetic issue at this point not a mechanical issue at all. SEE Pictures. My local shipyard has this documented on File. *Their was a sensor reading at 260 hours that was shown in test which was from not enough water pressure when engines where being winterized. *Engines Have now been winterized for this season at 577 Hours. *Yamaha Recommended Maintenance for these engines come this spring of 2010 would be new water pumps, thermostats and timing belts Just repeating this again in case you missed it the first time!!!!
