okay Jer...almost a pro fisherman...ur getting there....one hell of a catfish....i dont even think ive ever caught a catfish that big

WTG Jer! Nice catch and great photos!
I would say that your surf fishing effectiveness is improving dramatically with each additional trip.
Hard to tell from the top side but the yellow fish may be some type of kingfish (aka sea mullet, whitting). Those are typically very good to eat.

Keep at it and keep on posting the reports!

I've seen pictures of bigger yellow catfish, but they didn't look as yellow as the one I caught. It was a nice surprise.

Jer...way to catchem' up! Now take that hardhead (catfish), trim the tail fin...rig a bigger hook through it's underside near the anal fin (or behind the head, just don't clip the spine) and get someone to paddle it out for you and hold on! You'll find out real quick what Big Boyz are cruising the surf.
