WELL WE WERE FEELING A LITTLE FROGGY...
With the tides higher than high, and working the edge, I noticed that the marsh spider webs were under the water and I knew that the Red Drum should be in the marsh. We went up into the marsh and found a spot out of the wind and some of the fish were giving us the tail. Well, when given the tail, I want to speak to them about this and that we did...

I pulled the push out and slid the skimmer up in the marshes and over the snails that were trying to get out of the water but fighting a loosing battle as the Spartina grass was slowly disappearing under the rising water. The tide was so high that I could not here the snails bump the bottom of the boat and nether could the Red Drum.
I watched the first fish push to the left and I slid the boat that way. We cast 3' past and slid the "Deep Creek Frog" on the weed less worm hook toward its nose. Splutttt, splutttt, splutttt, but the fish noses down to early and it was a miss. Again, the frog was fired 3' out past the Drum and 2' in front...splutttt, spluttt and there was a large slurping sound as the drum lifts it's head and sucks down the frog.
The look on Billy's face was priceless as the line came tight and the 28"+ fish rips through the marsh toward the deeper water. I shove the boat to the fish and it cuts back the other way and now is pulling the boat around in the marsh. Soon she comes to hand and Billy has his first Drum caught is the marsh...sweet!

With the tide starting to ebb, we work toward the edge and soon see another Drum tailing in the edge of the marsh...splutttt...splutttt...CO-WOOCH and the frog is gone and and there is a big hole in the water with the line tearing through the marsh and around the boat before this fish comes to hand, God I love this stuff...

We move out onto the flat and work the edges where the cuts comes out of the marsh and find a couple of more fish as the tide drops out and 5 hours has flown by and it is time to head back to the ramp. Had a great time with you Billy, we will have to do it again soon...
Even though this picture doesn't show it, this was the pig of the day and almost 30", but the smile on Billy's face does...

The Frog we used is by "Deep Creek Lures" made with virgin, when you put a weedless hook in it, has neutral buoyancy and will slide over the marsh with out hanging up. When stopped it will lay an inch or 2 under the surface. The color we used today is Blue Jewel and is called Floating Sputter Frog...

Anthony's Ark is a blowboater
You've been dying for the right conditions for that frog. Now I see another technique in our arsenal.
