Used new multi-head fly line for the first time
Earlier this spring I bought a multi-head airflow from Tackle Direct when they were on sale. Put it on my new 8wt TFO. Tried the sinking line and it cast like a rocket with very little effort. The distance was great and it worked great on the retrieve.
Only thing I didn't like about it was that when in the boat, I like to work my fly right up to the boat. I found that when I did that the connection section would be inside the eyes of my rod and it was a little annoying getting it back out on the false cast as it would clink through the eyes.
I believe it would be super for fishing from the beach or sod banks as it would be out side the guides almost always.
Will let you know how I like the intermediate and floating heads when I try them.

Found out why I was getting more clicking than I should of. I was using the rod that had the multi head line when it was dark. Found I missed putting it through the third eye down and was using it that way yesterday. Today in the light I saw the problem and used it the whole night. It really worked well for casting into a strong head wind.

lines
Cape,
Is your line a shooting head w/ running line or is it a multi-head? Shooting heads are all i use now for saltwater, easier to throw with big flies and big weight. Less work to shoot alot of line.

It is a Airflow multi head. Used it a number of times and find no real problem. Fishing from boat long cast are not needed. Like to cast sitting in chair.and never have a problem putting the fly in the zone as electric motor keeps me right where I want to be. Have only used the two sinking heads so far and they work great. Shooting heads with running line would be better for long casts. $30.00 for 4 head system didn't seem bad.
