Tying video
Well thanks to the genious of Jer and SF.com of course!!!
here's the Fly forums first official video tying lesson.
This is a fly that is pretty new. It's a gonzo fly with a fly lip. It rattles and bobs and weaves to drive the fish nutz. Let me know what you know what you think. This is my first video. It needed some editing b/c of background noise. Sorry about the sniffles I have a sinus infection.

Great video. I have used the rattles and like the plastic lips. Looks like it should be real fishy. Thanks for the great post.

Here's a little dink that fell prey to the fly yesterday. Nice day on the water with every boat owner in MD. The big fish haven't shown up yet but there were plenty of people out there trying.
I caught 2 on the fly. The boat caught 9 or so. Slow but nice.
Yes that is a thermz sleeve poking out!!!

The lip in this case makes the fly come up off the bottom a little but either way you use it if will add action. The line type is what controls the fly the most I think.
I was fishing it with a teeny 350 in 9ft of water. It was pretty close to the bottom.

dave some clean pics and great vid. The larger ones will bite soon. How did the grass up on the flats look off Carpenter point? Did you get to that side? The Del City boys are using bloods and cut bait with a few takers

Yeah I made it over there and headed sw into the shallows. casted around a little and didn't have trouble with the grass. Was in 4 ft at high tide.
There is supposedly more grass up there than recent years but I don't know the area enough to tell.
