    Tying season is upon us.

I'd say this last front has finally put the Mid-Atlantic into tying season.

Winchester Creek is a great flyshop in Grasonville, MD that puts on a tying eveny nearly every weekend this time of year. Here's the most recent schedule.

    Just E-mailed to me:

We don’t have any scheduled tiers for January 20 and 27. If you wish to come in and tie, there will be coffee, donuts, and free material for tying. The remaining schedule is:

Feb 3 Richard Tillman Large bunker flies

Feb 10 Tony Friedrich (OneMoreCast) Steve Farrar flies and more

Feb 17 Andy Becker (Salar) Trout and Atlantic salmon flies

Feb 24 No fly tying—Tiefest at Bay Country Moose Lodge in Queenstown, MD

March 3 Doug Errett (The Old Man) Smallmouth bass flies

Talk about a great opportunity to meet some new folks, hear some stories, and learn new patterns or materials you might not have seen or used before. I'll be at as many of these weekends as I can, and hope to see some new faces.

Yo yo yo... dats me on the 10th

It is a lot of fun. I wish I had agreed to doing one today. Sheesh... 30knot winds and 30 degrees... booooooo... sucks.
Anyway... youse guys should come by if you can. It will go on for most of the day. Plan on being there right at 10. Learn some cool tricks and get rid of some bad habits.
