A Trip around the Roanoke River

This is just a picture trip around some parts of the Roanoke River, no particular order or anything just some of the many pictures that I took this year. Some you may have seen, most you have not and a couple that I just like and put in here. No fishing picture in this post other that some boat shots. Some good, some ok, hope you site back relax and enjoy the pictures...

What its all about, Kids...

It's shocking how many fish are in the river at any given time. They say between 300,00 to 500,000 every day of the spawn..













Rocks at the top of the boat ramp...the flow is about 8,000 CFM



















The Purple Martins come out near dusk for the afternoon hatch and feed...











Interesting to me how in the spring, as other leaves get light green, Mistletoe gets dark green. One of the only ones that I can think of that does that...









I think he is mad in this picture...hard to see in this small picture but his mouth is open and he was hissing...

awesome lee. you have a nice camera as well, i just got a new laptop w/ a 17" Hd screen, and seeing some of the older pictures on this newlaptop makes a humongous difference in clearity and quality.
