    doe sthis mean i could use 2lb leader for my tippet? you said it is the weakest point of your leader? what is the difference between tippet and leader material.?

    Leader is basically the same thing. Tippet is just a fancy fly fishing name.

    Basically...for salt and toothy freshwater use some 20lb flouro.

    For Fresh or precise casting get some tapered leaders and spools of tippet in various Lb. tests to tie on more if you need to change flies a lot or have a break off.

    Oh and I was wrong before about class tippet. The bite tippet must be 12" or less, and the class tippet must be greater than 12".
